- New rules on enterprise registration
The Government has issued a new decree No. 43/2010/ND-CP on enterprise registration to improve the current Decree 88/2006/ND-CP on business registration.
The most remarkable point is a mechanism for enterprise registration through the Internet. In spite of application dossier on paper and long-time queuing up at the one-gate registrar, now applicants can save time by online registration procedure through the National Enterprises Registration Information Gate which takes the same effect as procedure on paper.

- Financial Management Regulation regarding Stock Exchange, Securities Depository
Financial Management Regulation regarding Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange, Hanoi Stock Exchange and Vietnam Securities Depository (hereinafter referred as "Stock Exchange and Securities Depository") has been stipulated in the newly born Circular No. 29/2010/TT-BTC of Ministry of Finance (MOF) on March 04. Under this Circular, Stock Exchange and Securities Depository are State owned legal entities under the form of single member limited company. The MOF shall act as the owner's representative.

- New regulations on the merger, consolidation and acquisition of credit institutions
On February 11th, 2010 the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) issued the Circular No. 04/2010/TT-NHNN permitting banks, finance companies, finance lease companies and cooperative credit organizations to merge, consolidate and acquire other credit organizations. Circular 04 aims to replace the obsolete regulations under Decision No.241/1998/QĐ-NHNN dated July 15th, 1998 on the same issue.
