Strict penalties in the field of civil aviation
On 3 June 2010 the Government issued the Decree No.60/2010/ND-CP on administrative penalties applicable to violations in the field of civil aviation. The Decree aims to strictly penalize violations in this area with the highest penalty of VND 100m imposed on transporting hazard goods without the sufficient certificate issued by local competent authorities; doing air transportation business without any proper license or breaching the licensed air-freight right; purchasing, selling or transferring the air transportation right, etc.
Regarding activities on public disturbance within aircraft, bringing explosive, radioactive substances, combustible substances into restricted areas or on board the aircraft, or spreading as well as providing false information on existence of any bomb, explosive materials, dynamite, etc, which may threaten aviation staffs and/or passengers shall be strictly punished with a fine from VND1m to VND30m.
This Decree takes effect from 20 July 2010 and replaces the Decree No.91/2007/ND-CP dated 01 June 2007.
